What I have observed over the years working in injury rehab and  human performance

... is that most rehab and fitness programs fall unfortunately short of training the hip joint to it's fullest capability.

In a physical therapy clinic, hip rehab tends to focus solely on stretching and simple banded exercises. This protocol is often too under dosed for active persons and athletes. An under dosed program means that the hip joint never actually gets stronger or more resilient. And it rarely addresses underlying movement dysfunction.

At the other end of the spectrum, most fitness programs focus too much on basic lower body patterns such as squatting and lunges. These exercises only train the hips in one limited direction.This leaves many of the deeper hip stabilizers under-trained as well as the most important hip movement-rotation.

We begin Phase 1 by exploring, restoring, and learning to control movement at the pelvis and hip joint. This is where many underlying movement dysfunctions can be detected and corrected. 

In Phases 2 & 3 we initiate a comprehensive strength regimen by targeting all the muscles influencing the hip. The movements progress systematically through the remainder of the program, allowing you build on your progress while still scaling the training to meet your current capability.

By Phases 4 & 5 we are ready to start conditioning the hip joint to absorb and produce force. This can only be done once baseline strength and movement mechanics are accomplished. The groundwork you will have laid in the early phases allows us to effectively progress to this point. 

This program is meant to challenge you. You will push your limits for range of motion and strength all the while learning about your body and developing a deeper understanding of what your hip needs to perform in top tier condition.

Throughout my clinical career, I have helped thousands of military personnel rehab lower body injuries. A common theme for many is poorly functioning hips. 

Additionally, I have navigated many lower body injuries of my own leading me to further appreciate the consequences of weak and/or immobile hip joints. 

I believe that weak hips led me down the path of a significant foot injury and 2 ACL surgeries all before before the age of 18. 

And then during the years of my 20's and 30's the old injuries of youth came back to haunt me and left me with stiff hips that contributed to low back pain. 

Now that I am older, and much wiser :) I prioritize the supplemental work required to keep the hips strong and mobile. 

In this program, I combine my 15-year clinical background with strength and conditioning principles, to bring you the most comprehensive hip strengthening and mobility program on the market.
